BLACK HISTORY MONTH SALE

Community

Book Drive

On Sunday December 21, 2020, Mia's World Book Club had the opportunity to get involved and give back to the community for the holiday season. Donating over 60 books to the Salvation Army, more than 60 children were gifted a new children's book, giving them the opportunity to enjoy reading during the holidays.

Read Aloud

On January 6, 2020, I had the pleasure of reading to the Kindergarten classes at St. Thomas More School. The kids were bright eyed, engaged and full of questions. Such an experience

School Visit

On February 24th, Mia and I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Countryside Public School. We spent time with their enthusiastic grade three students, sharing our experiences in co-parenting and how it relates to our author's journey. During our visit, we engaged in lively discussions on various family dynamics, provided creative writing tips, played word games, conducted a read-aloud session, and had an engaging Q&A session.

The students and teachers were highly engaged throughout the visit, actively participating in discussions and enjoying coloring activities. It was truly a memorable experience, and we are grateful to Countryside Public School for welcoming us so warmly.

Marty Awards 2023

I am thrilled to share that I have been selected as a finalist in the Emerging Literary Artist category for the prestigious MARTY AWARDS! I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Martys Hub for this incredible recognition, and I am truly honored by the opportunities it presents.

Being among other immensely talented writers and receiving acknowledgment from the Mississauga Art Council is a true privilege. Congratulations to all the fellow finalists!

I eagerly anticipate the Award Ceremony on May 11th and kindly ask for your best wishes! 🤞🏾❤️
